Partnerships for the goals

The Acting President of KPRU, along with the Vice President and Deputy Director of Kamphaeng Phet Rajabhat University Mae Sot attended the meeting of the Joint Public-Private Committee for Development and Solving Economic Problems in Tak Province at Tak City Hall. The purpose of the meeting is to present a project to establish a central laboratory (Central Lab) at Kamphaeng Phet Rajabhat University Mae Sot, in the area of Thai-Myanmar border, which is a plan under the project to develop and solve problems at the local level in the lower northern provinces with a total budget of 50 million baht. It is also a project under cooperation between Kamphaeng Phet Rajabhat University, Tak Chamber of Commerce, and Tak Provincial Federation of Industries.

Activities under the Central Lab Establishment Project include:
1. Developing a body of knowledge in management and building a network of farmers and agricultural product operators
2. Establishing an Agricultural Product Standards Inspection and Certification Center (Center Lab) to inspect and certify agricultural results, according to the GAP standard
3. Connecting the market for safe agricultural products to become a world kitchen at the national and international level
4. Promoting the development of safe agricultural produce standards and consumer relations

The target area for service covers 5 provinces, including Tak, Kamphaeng Phet, Phitsanulok, Uttaradit, Phetchabun, and Sukhothai. In this regard, the Tak Provincial Committee has approved the university's proposal, which will be presented to the official cabinet meeting afterwards.
