KPRU has undergone several changes in its operating system since the pandemic of COVID-19. One of the major adjustments was the announcement of the Work From Home measure, in order to minimize travel and COVID-19 exposure. All KPRU staff can work at their own residences, whether they are in the areas of Kamphaeng Phet Province or other provinces, by providing online channels for communication, meetings, or any assignments at all times. In the New Normal era, KPRU still acknowledges the value and effective performance of working at home. It continues to provide work-from-home leave for people infected with COVID-19, while also developing systems that facilitate the monitoring of symptoms and the travel and exposure history of infected staff.

The university promotes the use of technology in work. One obvious use of this advance is to have staff work anywhere and anytime. Before, the university required that all staff work on campus and that they sign in for work in the morning. This made the staff have to travel from home to work every day even though they did not have any necessity to come in. Thanks to the outbreak of COVID 19, the university has changed its requirement from signing in for work to work from home.
