KPRU to Driven OTOP
According to Rajabhat University act of 2004, Rajabhat University is grouped as the institution for local development whose missions are to produce quality graduates, research and innovations for local development, to produce upskilled educational personnel, and to maintain and promote local knowledge, wisdom, arts, and cultures. The university issued its new 20-year- strategic plan which, by the end of its first quarter, aims at making the university a hub of academic resources for local development.
With its 28 million-fiscal budget in 2021, KPRU launched 30 activities under a total of 13 projects that aimed to improve local products (One Tambon One Product: OTOP) and uplift life quality and increase the income of the local people.
Under the OTOP project, the university has helped 20 local groups covering more than 100 households in Kamphaeng Phet and Tak to upgrade their local products, marketing, and cost management. The project resulted in the local people making better profits, leading to a better quality of life.
These successful projects were cooperated by KPRU and local communities. The results of the projects increased by at least 25% of their income.
