Short Course Training

The Faculty of Nursing at Kamphaeng Phet Rajabhat University, an educational institution accredited by the Thailand Nursing and Midwifery Council, has recognized the importance of elderly caregivers and, therefore, has undertaken a short-course training program for elderly caregivers.

This training aims to develop the potential of village health volunteers and elderly caregivers in the community to have knowledge and skills in elderly health care, and to give the community an opportunity to take part in caring for the elderly and bedridden patients in the community.
Those who have passed the training can apply the knowledge and skills they have gained to take care of their families and the community, and they can use them to develop a career in the future.

The content areas of the training included general knowledge about the elderly, health promotion for the elderly, health problems from common diseases in the elderly and primary care, the roles and ethics of caregivers, caring for the elderly, health assessment, first aid, and referral.
