Kamphaeng Phet Unites to Build Dams and Enhance Forest Moisture Project was organized on July 24, 2023, which was a collaboration between Kamphaeng Phet Rajabhat University and the Pang Makha Municipality, organized a dam construction activity as part of the “Kamphaeng Phet Unites to Build Dams and Enhance Forest Moisture” project. This event was held at Ban Mai Thong Chai Community Forest, a scenic area at Kaeng Koh Yai, Moo 21, Pang Makha, Khanu Woralaksaburi, Kamphaeng Phet.
 
The project was initiated in response to His Majesty the King’s directive on building upstream dams to preserve soil moisture, prevent erosion, conserve water resources beyond university grounds, and retain water for household use and agriculture. The initiative also aims to mitigate the intensity of forest fires, restore the area as a healthy watershed source, provide water resources for local communities downstream, and support communities and youth development about environment.
 
The project successfully constructed two dams with over 80 participants and six participating organizations, including Pang Makha Municipality, faculty and students of Kamphaeng Phet Rajabhat University, the Kamphaeng Phet Internal Security Operations Command, the Kamphaeng Phet Provincial Public Works and Town & Country Planning Office, the Royal Forest Department, and Khanu Woralaksaburi District Office.
